Cannes 2017: Deepika Padukone May Present Ram Leela & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Will Re-Introduce Devdas

Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are all set
to walk at the red carpet at Cannes this year. So, what will they be presenting
there? Interestingly, two of Sanjay Leela Bhansali films.
Yes, while Deepika might be introducing Goliyon Ki Raas
Leela Ram Leela (2013), Aishwarya will be presenting Devdas (2002) to the
audiences at Cannes. Both the films will be screened at the outdoor cinema
event.
One of Deepika's fan clubs tweeted the news and it has
been going viral ever since. However, there is no official word on this as yet.
But it’s confirmed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be
reliving the 2002 Devdas Cannes moment in 2017. While talking to a section of
media about Devdas screening at Cannes, Aishwarya said, "We attended the
festival not just as artistes but as proud representatives of Indian cinema,
showcasing a film that meant so much to us. The kind of reception we got for
the movie was truly overwhelming and I will cherish it all my life."
The outdoor cinema event will be held from May 17 -
22. It will showcase films that will be selected and introduced in-person by
six different actresses who are ambassadors of the beauty brand L’Oréal.
Reortedly, Ram Leela will be screened on May 17 while Devdas will be
screened on May 20.
While Ash has been a veteran at Cannes, this is the first
time that Deepika will be walking the red carpet there. Sonam Kapoor too will
be seen at the event, who also has been a regular at the star-studded gala film
festival.
Cannes Film Festival will run from May 17 to May 28.
